dImaging is a project which allows the dynamic manipulation of images. Currently dImaging only supports the creation of thumbnails but over time additional functionality will be added and will be posted here, so watch this space.
What makes this different from other dynamic thumbnail generators is that you can specify the behaviour of images of varying sizes as groups of images are rarely the same size. You can specify whether the width or height is preserved on each image or set a maximum for the width or height (whichever is bigger).
dImaging currently only supports the thumbnailing of JPEG images.
